The Latest Technological Termite Detection Equipment

Thermal camera: Is the latest technological innovation in termite detection. The thermal imaging camera detects anomalies such as hot and cold spots caused by termites, water leaks, in surfaces that are scanned. Understandably it is an invaluable termite detection tool. Thermal camera inspections are undertaken for routine termite inspections as well as pre-purchase inspections. Thermal camera is not part of the Australian Standard but is a worthwhile extra for peace of mind.

Moisture Meters: Termites live in high moisture environment so a moisture meter can pick up termite activity.

Tapping: is carried out to architraves, skirtings, window reveals and frames, door jambs and other timbers for termite damage.


The BPI Building & Pest Inspection Report

A BPI building inspection will allow you to know in advance if the dwelling has significant structural or major maintenance problems which will assist you to make an informed decision to the overall condition of the home.

The inspection will be carried out in accordance with AS 4349.1 – 1995. The purpose of the inspection is to provide advice to a prospective purchaser regarding the condition of the property at the date and time of inspection.

Subject to safe and reasonable access the inspection will normally report on the condition of each of the following areas:-

The interior, The roof void, The exterior, The subfloor, The roof exterior.

The inspector will report individually on Major Defects and safety Hazards evident and visible one the date and time of the inspection.  The report will also provide general assessment of the property and collectively comment on Minor Defects which would form a normal part of property maintenance.
